Cheryl’s teaching philosophy is based on kindness, connection and respect. She believes that every child has the right to be treated like a unique individual and have their thoughts, emotions and ideas respected. Her goal as a teacher is to create a play-based learning environment in which children feel safe and loved, can develop positive relationships with children and adults, and are free to explore, create, discover and connect.
“I became a member of the Woodland Park Coop community as a parent in 2013 and I began teaching here in 2019. Over the course of the past 12 years I have truly enjoyed learning and growing along side the children at this school.
It is a joy to be part of a learning community in which children feel safe and loved and where they are free to explore, create, discover and connect.
What I love most about WPC is that it gives children and their families time to play together, learn together, grow together and just be together. WPC is a very special school and I am so thankful to get to continue to be a part of its community.”
